KINDERGARTEN NEWS
The kindergarten students are doing well in reading. They are moving along in math and are working on addition and will be moving on to subtraction soon.
They are also caring for their plants that they planted a couple weeks ago. They seem to be growing nicely.

OLD NEWS
Mrs. Laramie and her class just finished the alphabet. The class is also working on measuring capacity.
Recently the children planted seeds that will bloom into marigolds, cosmos, and sunflowers. They are going to do a project watching beans grow in plastic bags.

The kindergarten class recognized Dr. Seuss’ birthday, March 2, and enjoyed many books written by him. Happy Birthday, Dr. Seuss!
The class is just completing a unit on clocks and money. They made awesome Easter Bunnies made from gallon jugs and cotton balls.
Tyler Miller was the top seller, in the school, of the chocolate bunny sales. Congratulations, Tyler!
Both Arthur Herrera and Tyler Miller participated in the PTO's "Jeopardy" game in the school gym on Wednesday, March 19, 2008. Both teams did great. Congratulations boys for being chosen.
The kindergarten class just finished a unit on the numbers 6-12. They starting unit 5 which is about time.
The class is more than half way through the letters of the alphabet studying a new letter each week.

100 February 13th was the 100th day of school.
All of the students and teachers wore “I’m 100 Days Smarter” t-shirts for the 100th day of school! Also,for the 100th day, the children in the kindergarten class counted out 100 objects and some of them displayed them in special ways.
Grades K, 1, 2 & 3 with teachers all wearing 100 day shirts.
Jacob Collins made a poster with 100 feathers. Andrew A. made a poster with 100 stickers of cars on it. Shawn Anderson made a poster with100 M&M’S in the shape of the number 100. Each child received a cup full of 100 pieces of yummy snacks.
During the morning of Valentine’s Day, the kindergarten class had a “Top Secret Science” lesson in the gym. They learned about weather which included them making a “tornado” in a bottle, a “thunder” clapper, and artificial snow.
